As part of the event, Mr. Sergey Sharabanov, Head of the JSC Rusatom Service representative office in the Republic of Belarus, made a report on the integrated approach of Rosatom State Corporation to service maintenance of power facilities during the entire life cycle.

The public hearings considered technical and organizational aspects determining the safe operation of the Belarusian NPP as an integral facility with two power units for 60 years. In addition, infrastructural aspects of the long-term implementation of the Belarusian nuclear power program, of which JSC Rusatom Service is an active stakeholder (as the Unified Market Integrator for servicing the Belarusian NPP), were discussed during the event.

The purpose of such events in Belarus is to make the public aware of the progress and results of Gosatomnadzor's safety review and assessment of the applicant's compliance with license requirements and conditions as part of the preparation of decisions related to the nuclear and radiation safety of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
